220/180 owners. What floor are you on & did you reinforce the floor? Floor joist size?

Placement description would be great. I just need some reassurance for a project that will start in 2 months.

Thanks all for the input.

RD

My 180 is on the first floor with a crawl space underneath. I think the floor joists are 2x12s. I ran a couple of 6x6s with a screw jack on each end just to be safe.

285 gallon tank with 75 gallon refugium and approximately 40 gallon sump all on 2nd floor oriented perpendicular to joists. Front of tank is standing over a bearing wall. Tank has been there for 2.5 years and the house still is standing !

Mine is a AGA 220 setting across 4 floor trusses . 3 years now and no problems but I still check it every so often with a level to make sure nothing is starting to move .
