150w Iwasaki aqua2 20k result
Just wanted to mention I switched out the 14k that came with my current usa sunpod for an iwasaki aqua2 20k bulb.
I really don't get why they call it a 20k bulb. But, it is obviously visually brighter and to me appears the same in color as my coralife t5 saltwater aqualight, which is 1 10k bulb and 1 03 bulb. My coral response, i now see polyps on corals that wasn't coming out. My derasa clam, moved to a location that was shaded, I gave up on puttin him where i wanted, he always decided wasn't to his liking. My new maxima that was placed the day before is open as wide as it was in the store. As well as the acro frag polyps. I say the shimmer on the floor to side of my 40brdr is definately noticeable now, the 14k barely had any. Overall impression, bulb is pricey, but isn't everything that is worth having. It's actually the color I was after, as i like the look in between the 10k xm and the 14k hamilton or 14k that was in the sunpod. And that was how the bulb was portrayed to me when I purchased it. Again, I dont' see why they call it a 20k, its definately not that blueish purple. its more of a light blue almost white. Of course, i'm color perception challenged. |
