help me find lights for 30" tank?

The tank is 30" across 19" deep and 1' wide
i would like a setup like this 30 inch 250 HQI Metal Halide Power Compact

but that place that's selling that fixture isn't good according to this post http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...hreadid=824797

Hamilton doesn't make 30" lights and i couldn't find any on reefgeek.com.... does anyone know where i could get a nice 30" fixture like the one in the first link but made by a good company?

thanks

http://www.premiumaquatics.com/Merch...Code=Clearance

This isn't much more than the one your were thinking of and probably great for 19" depth. This is one of the best lighthoods made for MH/T5 Combo.

yep that would be perfect.. thats exactly what i want but instead of 2 foot or 3 foot.... i need it to be 30" if possible.....
i'll probably have to get a 2 foot one if i cant find one thats 30"
sucks that the only one i find thats exactly 30" is made by a bad company...
thanks alot for that link UCanDoIt, i'll look through that site a bit more for other fixtures in a few minutes

2ft would be fine on a 30" tank. this lighthood is on clearance, so probably on a limited supply remainning. i'm actually thinking about the 4ft one for myself.

yea.. i just measured again.. i think 2 foot would be acceptable since the overflow is taking up a few inches anyway.

the tank is going to be like a refuge.. im going to have some macroalgae and i don't know what else im going to put in it, i haven't researched much about what can go in a fuge...
my only concern is that the lights that come with that are 14k and i was thinking that 10k would be better for growth.. i know 6.5K would be best for growth.. but i also want to keep some cool stuff in the tank too.. live rock and some zoo's and other stuff.. (also going to keep starfish in it for the harlequins in the main tank.. i need to get a feeding cycle going on them)

if i decide on that lighthood i'll probably have to email them first to see if the would do 10k instead of the 14k

hmm.... but now if im going to go 2 foot there are alot more options since thats a standard size most come in....

i really like the T5 / MH combo

Me too! I'm not sure, but I think they are the only brand that has the T5 supplement combo.
