Unhappy Cleaner Shrimp Keeps Killing Peppermint Shrimp

My big cleaner shrimp (1.5") keeps killing any peppermint shrimp that I put in. The peppermint shrimp are basically babies (.5") and I have only put in one peppermint shrimp at a time.

Do you guys think I should stop buying expensive food for my cleaner shrimp and give up? I want a peppermint shrimp to clean up the rocks but I think this cleaner shrimp just won't share the tank.

Any help would be great!

Proably thinks the little shrimps are food.

Try bigger peppermints, if that dosent work take the cleaner back and get a smaller one who is new to your tank then add them together

I second that what the7ferret said. The peps are too small so it thinks they are food. My 2 skunk cleaner shrimps chases the 3 peppermint shrimps around but they are the same size. No harm to the peps as I observed.

Thanks guys... I'll put that on the list to go back... I have a Yellow Tailed Blue Damsel that thinks he owns my whole 50 tank... He is going back too.
