Angry Must... kill... MICROBUBBLES!!!

I have a 20-gallon FOWLR with an AquaC Remora that spits microbubbles back into my tank. How can I get rid of these? I don't have room for the filter box, nor do I have room for a sump/refugium to put in a bubble trap. I've thought about putting a small piece of foam under the output of the skimmer, but it might not work, as the output hangs down under the surface of the tank.

The bubbles aren't hurting anything, but they are annoying to look at. Any ideas?

Is it new skimmer? may take a while for it to break in.

It's been up and skimming for nearly 8 weeks now. Is this normal? I thought the microbubbles were supposed to go away after the break-in period (approx. 1-2 weeks?). I've heard of other skimmers putting bubbles back in the water, which is why you put them in sumps (particularly ones with baffles to trap bubbles). There has to be something I can do about this... *smacks head* C'mon.. I'm an engineer! THINK! lol...

I had one for over a year with the pre skimmer box and bubble trap and still had bubbles...a spongle or piece of filtre pad on the outlet will trap bubbles

How did you put the foam on? did you put it over the opening of the skimmer? Or under the "waterfall" area?

Is yours underwater, too? The end of my waterfall lip is underwater. Did you put it at the end? Or on the way down near the surface?
