Remote Deep Sand Bed
I think I posted something like this before, but didn't get the answers that I was lookin' for. I want to set up a remote DSB in either a 5 gal bucket or a 10 gal tank. Does anyone have a link to a diagram for this, or the patience to explain it to me? I read those posts by Anthony Calfo about DSB's but I still can't figure out the best way to set one up.
Thanks! |

i have one where the overflow pours from the tank into the a like 25 gallon clear rubbermaide tote filled with 5- 6 inches of southdown. i then put a bulkhead on the side of that tote and connected it to the side of another tote that i use as a sump. ill try and get some pics up if you want. in the DSB im using it as a refugium also so theres cheato algae and some live rocks in there too.

Look up pictures of refugiums. I have a DSB in my refugium, and it works great.
Check in my gallery and website.
