Fish tank in my Bathroom????
Ok so I have been out of the hobby for awhile and I just moved into a new place and I am thinking of taking my tank out of the garage and setting it up in my new place. The only place I really see fit to do so though it the bathroom. Is this going to be possible? When showering goes on in there it can get preatty steamy and with shampoo smells and all that kind of stuff... Hell I see the crap growing on my shower walls is that going to get into the tank??? its a 75 gallon tank i havent completely decided what im going to stalk it with but most likely it will just be a FOWLR. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks |

I wouldn't just to be safe. To easily contaminated in a bathroom. Would be cool though...

Well room in my bedroom is scarce and same with the living room on top of that My house is all carpet and i would prefer to not have the tank on carpet ( i tend to spill a bit when doing water changes and ****) Plus if it was in my bathroom it would make water changes really easy. and i could watch my fish while takin a ****... What effects do you think the steam would have??? would **** up the temp too much??? Im thinking it might be worth a try

I've run a 12 gallon nanø in my bathroom for some time now. No significant issues but make sure you have a GFI for it.

Fish tanks in bathrooms have been done for many years, The tank will be fine. You might find yourself cleaning the glass more often from steam.

I see no reason not to have a Powder Blue in the Powder Room.
Do take that advice on the GFCI to heart if the bathroom doesn't have a GFCI plug already.
