fixing a slight crack
I have a small crack or scratch in the outside of my aquarium, its on the side and is about an inch. You can barely feel it with your hand on the outside and nothing on the inside. It currently has no water in it. What can I do. I dont think its a big deal, but before I put 120 gallons of salt water in it I want to lean toward the safe side.

Confirm if it's a crack or a scratch. If it's new I would ask for a new tank. If it's used I would do a test fill outside

Hi Mike,
Are we talking glass or plastic here? With the plastic tank you can buy a scratch removal kit to polish it out. It is not a perfect repair but it helps. With glass it is more trouble to remove so I'd just leave it alone. Fill the tank with water a let it sit for a day or two to make sure that it is just a scratch and not a crack in a glass tank.
