???filtration???

I was in at my local fish store talking to one of the ladies I told her I was new to all this stuff and wanted to go with 2 tank bred Ocellaris Clownfish and when I get the lighting a anemone and of course a bunch of live rock, and then asked her what kind of filtration she suggested the told me to go with nothing but a bio wheel power filter and maybe a power head for my 20gal I personally would never do that it is going to be my first salt water tank so what do I no, but with dealing with fresh water I no that if your filter fails over night or something your screwed theirs no oxygen getting to the fish is that the same in salt water? And should I go with the suggestion the lady at my local fish store gave me?

The powerhead would keep oxygen in the water, unless it failed as well as the HOB filter.

If you doing this in a 20 gal. then I would suggest and HOB skimmer as well. I personally like the Aquaclear series of HOB filters though as opposed to the biowheel types though.

How much deeper would the ocean be if it didn't have sponges?

I second the Aqua Clear filter. I have one on my 55 (110) and it does an awsome job. They are also easily customizable w/ the different media you can add. You could also put the model 110 on your 20 and convert it to a fuge. I am a fan of skimmers so I would put one of those on there also, but you by no means have to.

i would recommend a sump and a skimmer over-rated for your system. also research before you buy that anenome , there is a good thread at the top of this forum.

Here is a link to the AquaClear fuge conversion. I don't know if the 200's are big enough to do the conversion.

AquaClear 500/110 fuge conversion
