Need Mini Fuge Help
I turned my wet/dry into a mini fuge full of Cheato and a few small LRs. Got a decent gro light and lots of flow. The problem is since there is no filter now the Cheato has become the filter catching all the bad stuff and keeping my Nitrates high. I can't put the filter back in with the Cheato as the dirty water will be pumped into the Cheato and then out through the filter. My skimmer is set to dry skim which I hear is better.
Thanks, Austin

Is there a way you could add a sponge or some floss, which you could rinse every few days, to catch debris before it gets to the chaeto?

The flow comes in through the bottom of the unit so the Cheato would have to be rmoved to get to the sponge. I could turn the flow down which would allow the skimmer to pick up more. Does Cheato require a high flow? I hate to keep cleaning the Cheato which affects pod production.
