Nothing you can ReaLly do aBout that, just make sure you have plenty overhangs for them to hide under. what shrimp are they, i know my peppermints never hide out , but my CB only comes out to eat.

they are cleaner shrimp ( scarrlet)
iv even removed the shade that prevents light from hitting this and they still wanna hang out on it the problom i also have witht hem there is the fact there is a small gap in the screen that they could craw into then get sucked into the drain pipe ( 1200 gph distributed over 5 1.5 inch openings with about 6 sq ft of screen covering it) |

They are more brave in small groups. Most likely what is attracting them is the water flow and food attached to the screens. I am not sure you can do anything about it. Maybe brush the screens clean, if there isnt anything to eat, they may head back to the rocks? Just a guess however.

I have 2 shrimps...1 cleaner and one fire, the fire is always hiding and only comes out to eat, but the cleaner...the moment I put my hand in the tank is wants me to hand feed him and crawls over my hand!, he kinda expects special treatment, lol....
