green and brown algea question
Hi all,
I'm curious if anybody out there without and algea problem... I'm aware that algea is neccesary for the water.. That's why I'm not using any chemicals to remove it... I clean the frontside every 3-4 days.. But they come back... The water is crystal clear.. It's just over every rock..glass..etc... I see some pictures of the tanks with very little algea (maybe just the back of the tank) My tanks are 5 month old... Does algea go away (or gets less) over time...or can I do something about it? My water readings are Nitrite 0 Nitrate 0-10 Amonnia - 0 Ph 8.2 O2 - 6 Any suggestions???

Most tanks grow some algae over time if lighted. Do you have any snails to keep it under control?
