Skimmer & pump size question...
I'm in the planning stages of a custome built, closed-loop tank that will be approx. 22" front to back and will have an acrylic false wall with an overflow. The wall will be 5" from the back and I want to know if this will be enough space for a good quality skimmer and its pump. I'm looking to go a bit better that the Remora type skimmers that are popular with nano-cube-type aquarists. I know I will have plenty of side to side room, but I'm just concerned with the width (5" front to back) that will be sectioned off for the skimmer/pump. I'd appreciate any thoughts as well as recommendations of a good quality skimmer. The tank will be approx. 30-ish gallons and will have a moderate bio-load... and maybe one more than that!
Thanks.

II would personally get something other than a remora. Something along the lines of a Deltec Hang on or maybe some of the tunzes could work out for you.
I had a remora on a 46gallon bowfront and was never happy with it.
