Can anyone ID this stuff?? (pics)
I have about 60# of live rock curing in a tank in my basement. It's been curing ~6 weeks or so and these little plant type things are sprouting up everywhere. Almost looks like kelp or something. Can anyone shed some light on these as to what they actually are?

I'm unsure of it's name, but it tends to grow very quickly and become a nuisance to remove. Tangs don't tend to eat it and when you try to pull it off the rocks, it's so tough that sometimes you'll accidentally lift the whole rock!

It is a brown alga (Phaeophytan), most likely a Sargassum sp. as Angel*Fish said.
