Quarintine tank equipment questions?

what do i need for a quarintine tank? powerhead, heater and what sort of filtration. just a cheap hang on or something? do i have to quarintine corals to or just fish? if i have to Q corals then i guess i will need lights and if its a SPS i am going to need good lights? thats getting expensive.
