What's the difference between black and clear flexible tubing?

Well, beside the obvious color difference, there is little chance of algae growing in black tubing since light can't penerate.

The only downside i have with pvc or black tubing is a visible check to see if u have blockages from gunk and algae starting to occur.

it's pretty much comes down to what you prefer. black IMO is less maint. and stays cleaner.

If you have to use it in the tank Id go with black, however outside of the water use clear. That way you can see if it gets clogged up or if water is even running. Just my opinion
