Catching your own in L.I.

I remember a thread on catching your own fish on Long Island.
I do not recall how it is done. trap, net , ??
Does anyone out there do it. I just got a place on the Peconic Bay in Hamptom Bays.
Maybe we can make a day of it ??

Brian
