Question Lights

Just wondering what happens to halides and actinics when they start to get old? And why replace them if they are not burned out?

They lose their intensity and spectrum.

How does that effect corals? I noticed that 1 or 2 of my corals look like they might be starting to bleach. Could this be because my bulbs are a year and a half old?
