Okay here's some pics of the base, it's currently on it's way to it's permenant home to hopefully be installed. I'll take some pics once it's in place. My buddy is headed out of town tomorrow morning and his brother's watching the tank. He'll be home next weekend so we'll see what happens.
Behind the powermanagement I've routered it out so there is plenty of room for power cords. It easily slides our from the front to plug things in and out and slide it back in. The round hole to the side is for the power cord to get back to the front. Here's the power cord hole in the front.

Thanks everyone, I'm sure I could make another if so desired... Just shoot me a PM. I'm certainly not a pro but I did learn a lot on this one and would love to try it again.

Wow, there was this thread on a tank just like this over in the nano forum....
Did you decide on a final stock list? I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures with the base on.

Still up in the air, my buddy wanted to wait on stocking until his business trip is over on 7/8. He'll be back this coming weekend but headed right back out; I hope to get some pics of it on the base at least...

Here's some pics of the tank with the base and background. The tank is a little cloudy I was moving some sand and rock work a bit. Corals and fish will start this weekend (hopefully).

Now you just need another one to cover up the top part of the window!
