What pump for SCWD???

Im in the procesess of buying a SCWD but what pump would I need for the SCWD to operate. The tank is a 30 long. I currently just have a 100 GPH pump but i dont think that would do.

there are many different ones that you could use.

i heard that the mag pumps were good, so i used it for my SCWD on my 90 G.

so far so good! they're good quality

I have a mag drive 9.5 with mine and it works great. It does restrict a good bit of flow.

Is it on a closed loop or a sump return? I used my on an OR2500 for sump return and it both accomplished a good amount through the SCWD and cutting down too much flow through the 20 long sump by the OR2500.

I run a closed loop with a mag 12 and a scwd it does a good job of breaking up the flow from 2 seio 820s i have the seios on opposite sides of the tank the back side is drilled for the scwd closed loop with the seios blowing lengthwise when the scwd alt ernates it breaks the seios flow and gets a nice random pattern the tank is a 40gal breeder 36x18x16
