clown fish suddenly not eating and having stringy poo??

I've read something about this. But after 1 year or so, my skunk hasn't been eating crazily and doesn't seem like its normal self.

I'm setting up a hospital tank in the mean time. Any ideas? WHat should I treat it with? marcyn 2?

Thanks.

i dont think that will help. sorry to say this, but it sounds a whole lot like cyanide caught. if its hanging on and its clear (poo appearance) its his bowls. return it to LFS and let them know they need to approach their supplier. from experience, you have about 24-36 hrs. before they die. sorry to hear that. REEF-ON!!!

I've had this clown for a year and this never happened. I suspect it to be the infamous stringy poo, worm thingy that MOST clown fish get. At least the wild ones.

I just dunno why it happened so suddenly.. I doubt they will accept and return and I don't wanna make a fuss outta it. Its belly has show veins or something.

No, the fish just probably recently got an internal parasite.

Have you added any new fish? If so where they QT?

What are you feeding?

Pretty much when you add new fish without QT'ing them they will introduce parasites to the tank, and some fish are succeptable to them.

Sam
