Help with an unwanted growth
Hello all
I have somehow obtained a slime like sponge or growth in my tank and I cant seem to get rid of it. It started by growing on the overflow...when I removed it some of it must have gotten thru my filter sock and blown into the main tank. it is now growing only in certain places of the substrate and on the plastic of the overflows and my closed loop nozzels. it also grows on frag plugs as you can see in the picture. It will not grow anywhere on my live rock at all. Here is a photo for you to see what it looks like: any help with identifying it and suggestions on how to rid my system of it would be greatly appreciated... Thanks in advance einsteins |

It reminds me of the pink cotton algae, however your description of it sounds a little different.
