89F for a day -- the heater stuck in the 'on' position and took the temperature up five degrees in a short span of time. Two corals bleached, everything else was just fine. The bleached corals are coming back nicely, no permanent damage.
Right now it's HOT here and there's not much I can do other than crank up the ceiling fans and a/c; because we live in an apartment and get heat from all the floors below us, even that only takes our apt temperature down to 82F or so. All the tanks are at 86-7F, but everything's fine so far.

89 degrees for 3 hours under 250 w mh lighting in a 52. Coralline bleaching over 1/3 of the height of the rocks.
Some experts are now suggesting that lighting plays a part in bleaching. I'd be curious if those who didn't have bleaching were under less light.

No bleaching. 250W MH over a 30g hex. So for me, heat plus light didn't equal bleaching.

My roomates turned off the AC one weekend I was also gone last summer. Tank temp was at 89 for two days. I lost my yellow angel and chocolate chip star. The clown and firefish survived. Luckily I had no coral or they surely would have been toast.
