HELP!my tanks freaked out
hey my tanks 2 months old.It has cycled out so I vacumed the sand, changed filter cartiges and scraped the glass off.Looked great for two days now the watter is cloudy the sand is getting brown(see pics)
Ammonia-0 ph-8.2 nitrate-0 nitrite-0 salinity-1.023 Today I started dosing with Seachem Stability and added a puos-zorb pack! Please make it go away! buzz |

![]() To Reef Central The salinity is very low. I target 1.026-1.027, which is about average natural waters. I'd raise it to that level over a couple of weeks. I suspect, though, that this is just part of the normal range of tank startup behavior. You could give it some time and see whether the problem goes away on its own. If the tank has been at zero ammonia for three weeks, you could consider adding some snails for cleanup.

Yes, your WATER should clear up within a couple of days. It could be an algae bloom? What color is the cloudiness of the water?

That looks like the normal new-tank bloom to me. A few cerith snails, if there's no cleanup crew, should do a reasonable job for you.
