anybody know of any stellar lfs's in the Milwaukee area?

Yes there is
Hoffers on 76 & Good Hope
Aqua Unlimited on hwy 100 & Oklahoma
There is Paradise Pier (inside Pets supplies plus) on Portwashington Rd in glendale
The Fish Factory on Oklahoma Ave like 97th
Aqua Exhibits on 3rd street downtown

The first 2 listed are the most expensive places by FAR

But they have the best selection healthier fish etc,
