I have a 55 bow front tank. The MH pendant light is square. I bought a pice on laminated board from Lows that is used for the kick boards under kitchen cabinets. It is flexable and I just bowed it and pu it on top of my tank. In front of the pendent.

i was thinking some 1 by 3 cut 12 inches run up and down across the front then it would match the stand but trying to figure out how to put them together

You can also build it with vertical slats instead of one horizontal piece. They sell wainscotting kits at Home Depot with tongue and groove pine boards that you can fit together and then screw to the frame. Cover with a thin piece of laminate. I think if you search in the gallery you can find a pic. It's what I stole when I started mine.

I used the thin tongue and groove knotty pine from HD it sucks because it's thin. Pluse you can't open the door without have an 1" or so gap by the hinges. I asked this post http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...5&pagenumber=1 One guy put another stand as a canopy. Good Idea
