aqua medic ocean light t5 owners...
does the fixture come with or can it hold a shield?
does it have numerous switches or just a single power switch? thanks |

i spoke with an aquamedic rep and he told me that it does come with a shield. however, after pricing the t5 ocean light it seemed a little high compared to the comparable current-usa nova extreme. the nova has the additional moonlights, has legs, and is cheaper. although a possibe benefit for the aquamedic could have been the fact that they were bundled with geisemann bulbs, this is no longer the case. whether it was a heat issue or ballast t5 combo problem, the rep told me he has had too many returns and issues with the aquamedic and geisemann bulbs and have replaced those t5's with a local (usa) manufacturer. all info from an aquamedic usa rep.
