Adding lights Need advice
I currently have have a 4 VHO system 2 Actinic 220 watts total and 2 Actinic White 220 watts total. So, 440 watts on a 75g. I can move the bulbs closer to each other and make room for one more 46.5" VHO tube.
My question is, what should my 5th tube be? Another Actinic White, Actinic or possiblily Aquasun? Thanks |

Not really. It's fairly common to run 2 175 watt halides and 2 110 watt vhos on a 75. Just looking for more light for the high light corals.

The Aquasun are really pink/orange... I was not impressed...I guess it depends on what you like, but personaly I would go with the Actinic...also depends on your corals are they deeper water or shallow water types...if you have a mix then maybe the 50/50 is a good choice. My tank is a90 with 2x175 MH 14K 4VHO 3xActinic and 1 50/50..Looks great

Geo thanks for your comments. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I think I have ruled out the Aquasun, but sure if the 5th will be 50/50 or Actinic. I may be leaning toward another 50/50. If I don't like it I'll change to an actinic.
