i would try and answer this quest, but in all honesty- i cannot understand it at all, i know you probably not from the states, but that is pretty bad, you really need to try and clear that up a little bit to get a straight forward answer.
Sorry, Mike

Shouldn't the shark open it himself when he's ready?

I think if it doesn't come out on its own its chances for survival are pretty low. Maybe someone on here knows how long these things take to hatch. I thought it was months.

It should come out on its own, and start looking for food immediately.
If not, its pretty much dead in the wild, but this is captive ![]() |

The baby shark will usually be almost twice the size of the egg when it hatches, and the stripes will be fully developed. I believe the gestation period on the eggs is something like 3-4 months???Don't mess with it...it will come out on its own.

I had one once and I believe that it took 3 months or so. Half the fun is watching it grow. Leave it or it alone will be weak and die.

Mine lived for a year, it was about two years into the hobby but did fine. I had a friend watch my tank while I was on vacation and when I came back. Well he liked to watch him eat and feed several times a day. But thanks for the advice.

If it is still moving it will come out. If I remember correctly my egg was split on one side but the shark didn't come out for a few days and when it did it was after the lights went off.
