Best way to......
remove trace elements of copper from a system. i accendtly used a brass gate valve insteand of a plastic and i need to know how to remove the trace ammounts of copper from the system. it is a 10g tank with a 10g sump/fuge. anyways taking it down and starting over again isnt a problem as im not going to use the rocks that were in the system again. my main concern is the plumbing and silicone leaching small amounts of copper into the water. so what is the best way to get rid of it without buying a new tank sump and plumbing?
thanks Mark |

run some polypads for a couple weeks. When they stop turning color, stop worrying about it.
The whole silicon wicking/leaching copper/etc is way overdone.
