Single chamber vs dual chamber calcium reactor?
I'm looking into upgrading my calcium reactor to handle the new system I am building. I was thinking that I would go with a dual chamber reactor for the extra capacity and also help eliminate co2 from entering the tank. Is a dual chamber reactor really that much more efficient than a single?
Your input would be appreciated. Tim |

dual only does anything if the recirc pump on the first chamber is too weak. as long as there is a decent sized pump on there the water is fully saturated with dissolved calcium carbonate and a second chamber does nothing. i have a eheim 1048 on my 618 which i consider far too small. i'm trying to decide if i want to add a second chamber or just bump up the pump.
