NW150 skimmer sump water level?

Seems like most people have 9" water level. What is the recommended range? What is the max? I would like to run at least 12" if possible. Has anyone run it this deep?

Thanx nemo. I saw that thread. It seems like no one has run their skimmer any deeper than 8-9". I think I'm gonna have to just do it and hope for the best.

Thanx mavgi, I will read it, but can you give me an answer in the meantime? I think it won't be optimal in terms of skimmer performance but I would like to run it at 12" if possible. My overflow dumps to a 50 gallon tank. The first section I would like to place the skimmer. The refugium will depend on how high the first baffle is. The skimmer fits perfectly so I can't prop it higher. 9" isn't much of a refugium especially with a sandbed.

i run 50 gallon sump to my 120 tank and i make the first baffles for the skimmer 10" . at the fuge i put it 12" . you can do the same.

after reading this post i put my skimmer in a bucket and more higher to get better result and yes it's give better result , after you read you will understand but you can make the baffle of the fuge more higher.
