humu trig diet... his diet good or bad or do I need to add anything...

his tank mates are a porc puff and a maroon clown.

I feed them a form 2 cube everyday and the trig and clown eat it.

Then everyother day I feed them a mix of shrimp, krill and squid soaked in zoa.

(the trigger wont eat the meat everyday as he will just chew and spit out)

any other suggestions?

My huma loves beefheart and bloodworms but I only give him beefheart once a week. I also soak the beefheart in Selcon.

But he eats everything else though. mysis, brine, plankton veggies and loves to munch on an occasional piece of romaine lettace.

He's spoiled

Try krill. My triggers love krill.

try squid, and some mussels/clams/fiddler crabs as a treat/Hikari or spectrum pellets.

piscene energetics mysis shrimp enriched with selcon or zoe(selcon better choice).....also ocean nutrition(the cubed frozen packs) sells a trigger formula now that my huma huma used to love

he is likely spitting out the squid(mine did that with squid)its very tough and not easy to swallow or digest....id save the squid for eels

I feed my Huma Huma cherrystone clams (I open them for him), mahi mahi, silversides, frozen formula 2, shrimp (in the shell) and krill. If he is refusing a food try soaking it/thawing it out with a few drops of garlic extreme - garlic will sometimes act as an appetite stimulant.
