Fish compatablity

I have marine betta, sixline wrasse and a fu-manchu lion. Recently I added a yellow tang. He was very active, eating like a hog and no signs of disease. I did not see any agression towards him but the 2nd day he was in there I noticed that the fish had got a rather nasty scrap across his forehead and side like he ran into some rocks. Today he was dead. So I am wondering if the fish I have are compatable with a tang...

Depends on relative size and the order in which they entered the tank. Possibly the lion and the tang had a run-in. If there was a finning incident the tang could well have lost.

The betta is three years old, the lion is tiny, about 3" and has been in the tank for about a halfyear and the sixline is 1" and been in there a year.

I have had a few other fish mysteriously die in the last year. I had a royal gamma and a fairy wrasse disappear. I assume my sixline killed the fairy, they were battling the night before the fairy died. And I saw my royal gamma being eaten by my flower anemone. But as far as the tang, im at a loss...

Nitrates have always been undetectable and phos is .1 and everything is stable and my corals (softies, LPS and SPS) and derasa clam all have been looking great. So I think I have a fish compatibility problem.

Any ideas? I really want a smaller tang.
