Natural way to rid of Majano Anemones
I have a problem with these majano anemones they are all over my tank and they are gettting really close to some of my corals and I'm having a really hard time trying to get rid of them. I have tried to inject them with kalk and that doesn't work except for a few that are in easy places to get. I'm looking for something that will eat them, like a fish or invert. Is there anything like this that I can get to help get rid of them?

Peppermint shrimps worked for me on the smaller anemones. They tend to leave the Big 'uns alone. Kill them with Kalk.

I don't think peppermint shrimp will touch a majano, peppermints and aiptasia are from the caribbean and majano is from the pacific. I have no aiptasia in my tank with 6 peppermints but none of them will touch the majano I have in the tank. You might want to check if Copperband butterflies will eat them but then your taking a risk with your corals. RicGio what power school class were you?

I used a raccoon butterfly. He ate the ones he was able to get to. After he was done with the mojanos, he started to eat my leathers and zoa's. Had to get him out and now the mojanos are back. I just live with it and use Kalk. I don't think there is anything that is reef safe out there. If you find one, let me know.

Well at this point I think that i will be up for anything if more people said that Joe's Juice worked for them. I mostly have LPS corals and softies in my tank, I only have one SPS coral in my tank. My tank is also 120g.

Joe's juice works. The problem is that in a large tank, you can't reach or see all the mojano's in your tank. Then they spread. I use weekly kalk(to me the same as joes juice) and try to stay on top of them and keep them away from corals.

I have a butterfly that eats them. Or at least, picks at them until they die. Unfortunately, it's one that's hard to obtain: A Muelleri Copperband.
They are endemic to Austrailla and only offered for sale in the US every once in awhile. Also, my guy may be something of an anomaly since I had never heard of them eating Majanoes before (they WILL just massacre Aiptasia however). They seem to leave 'SPS' polyps alone but certain individuals have been known to 'pick' at 'LPS' and clam mantles. Feather dusters and Yellow Polyps are usually a goner too. But, on the positive side, they are usually much hardier than the Indo-Pacific Copperbands (I've had mine over 3 years now), are every bit as good looking, imo, and did I mention they just massacre Aiptasia? If you're interested, I'd keep checking with The Marine Center as they seem to have one come in every so often.
