Houston Public Aquarium?
I'm in Houston for work for the next couple of weeks and wondered if the Houston Aquarium is worth going to?
Does anyone out there have any advice or experience with the Houston Aquarium? Thanks |

The Aquarium Restaurant is worth a visit...... . Houston Downtown Aquarium The 7-acre complex houses 5 themed aquaria, including a Louisiana swamp, the Amazon River, and a shipwreck. Features and attractions include an observation tower, a 90-foot Ferris wheel, midway games, a helipad, restaurant, and an acrylic train tunnel running through the massive shark tank. 410 Bagby. If you can make it down to Galveston, Moody Gardens Pyramids are very nice to visit. The rainforest pyramid has alot of nice plants with butterflies and birds. The pond in the middle has some large catfish, cichlids and arrowanas. The aquarium next door to it has some nice tanks, nothing spectacular but defiently worth the drive down for.

The aquarium rest. is a bit overpriced I think, at least for what you get. They have a very cool 2 or 3 story column aquarium that is worth seeing, and nearly every wall in the dining area is an aquarium. Very nice.
Moody gardens is better though in terms of variety. They have a walk through tunnel that goes through the largest tank. |
