what are your thoughts on:

XM 20k

Ushio 20k

Hamilton 20k

would like to know how they are all relative to eachother- especially in levels of blue-ness-ness

Wattage does play a role in how the lamp looks to the eye. Just my two cents.

Hey Marvin! yeah, was curious as I would like to achieve a deeper blue. I know ballasts will also play a role too, in my case- magnetic m81. (150W DE)

I would recommend the Radium and the Ushio. I have used both and they are very similar.
