ORP question...

My ORP is always in the 470 range, and the generator has never turned on.

I have cleaned the probe many times, and the number look better on non aquarium water.

I have a Ozone Air filter in the room, is it possiable that the tank is getting all the Ozone it needs from the room air?

I don't think so, and with a 470orp, that is a sign of a healthy tank then, if it constantly stay at that #, may be something is wrong, mine is usually higher in the morning after no lights for the whole night, and after feeding, if will drop for 5-10 mv. and also with the lights on, it will drop too. The OPR should flucturate a little, they are never constant.
I wish I can keep mine at 470 though.

The orp is not always 470, it goes as high as 485, drops to 460... 470 is average.

That is what I think, but I am adding no Ozone, why is it high?

Everything seems fine in the tank, water is VERY clear, just an odd probe reading.

that is fine to be @470 if you are not adding ozone to it, just to be sure, you can run your probe in those 400mv solution to see if it is still off. then you know if it is the probe or the water is that good.

If you have new plastic or acryllic in your tank, that will hold you ORP high for a few weeks to a few months.

Mine was at 450 for 6 months w/o ozone due to the acrylic a siliconed to my overflow to hide it. And my tank is glass!

Now it is at 385 with ozone.

I'd have your probe checked. Vinegar is only like ORP 500, your tank running at 475 is doubtful

I thought 300 orp without ozone is a healthly tank..

I must agree, no way..double check probe.

Running O3 in the house will not "add" to the tank. I wish it did since I have 2 units (alpine) in my house. I would have saved around $200
