Venturi on a Mag 2

OK, using the RC calculator I'm going to estimate that I'm going to get 150 GPH from my mag2. On a 20 gallon with a 5 gallon sump, this is way to much. I want to use the mag2 as it's the first mag that has threaded input and output. I want to make things a leak proof as I can.

Would it be possible to split the output of the mag2 and use it w/ a venturi to power a bakpak? Or would I have to use something like a remora?

Is there an underlying flaw with wanting to split my return pump to power a skimmer?

How is the Quiet One 1200? That would be comparable to the mag2.
