Angry I really mees it up

Fine. this time i really mess it up, my favorite coral, my xenia was budding (dont know if its the correct word), was puting a frag a stalk on the glass of the aquarium, on the bottom, my aquarium now is bara botom, im searching a tidal sand i dont found, so its empty for now, so the xenia fall on the floor (2 weeks ago), and i leave it there she was amazingly fine, today the stone was over the xenia, its on a small stone and it flip over the base of the coral, the point is, the coral was half atached to the glass i dont know that and pull it to put it on a bigger rock, so the coral split at half, here goes the question, the cut full of detritus that was on the glass, so clan the coral w current and put it on a bigger rock or leave it and let it recover alone?, cut the pice of xenia that still on the glass or leave it?, i apreciate as fast as you can help me, thanks.

Don't worry, it's another one of those WaterMelon threads from the Fruit Market where in the end, WaterMelon will be typing with extremely appropriate grammar and pronunciation. That, however, will likely come after a bunch of sincere responses from unsuspecting victims of WaterMelon's dry wit.

Haha, nice one physicslord. The guy's trying, so give him a break. I believe he's trying to say that he tried to move a colony of xenia growing on the glass onto a rock, but the colony split in half...now half of it is on the rock, half still on the glass.

It's hard to assess the situation without seeing it, but I would just leave things alone and see if it recovers. Messing with it more will just make things even worse.

WaterMelon, where are you from by the way?

Leave it alone and it will be fine. People cut xenia all the time to frag it.

Lets make fun of the guy because he can't speak english very well... that will solve his problem. Don't be such ignorant biggets and make fun of the guy. He is attempting to get help and all you guys can do is make fun of his spelling and grammar. Although his spelling and grammar isn't so good, I was intelligent enough to understand what he was saying... so instead of making fun of him for his odd end, how about you grow some common sense and TRY to understand what he is saying... Sorry if I seem uptight about this situation, but this type of behavior is all I ever see out of RC members when someone who doesn't speak english very well tries to get help on these forums...

Anyways, Watermelon, don't worry about it, that stalk should recover on the glass and regrow aswell as the piece on the rock... if you don't want it on the glass when you put your sand, you can always scrape it off with a razor blade and onto a rock with a mesh cloth and some rubberbands... as a reference go to www.garf.org and look for "Xenia Propagation" this should give you some details instructions on how to save both pieces.

Hope this helps,
-Mike C.

That's pretty mean you guys... c'mon. I think it's great to be a member of a board so popular that we can claim worldwide memberships. Don't be so insular.

Watermelon, you can scrape the xenia off the glass and put it in a very low flow area of the tank with some rubble to attach on. It will probably be fine.

Watermelon you are the best, but fruitland is getting old, why don't you switch it up a little?

So how many people here are in 1st grade? Seriously... ever wonder what happens to the kids that get picked on in school or people that get harrassed by those who think they are better than them?

Usually they end up being either your boss or bringing a gun to school. C'mon guys. Get a grip. There's plenty of other things to laugh about in this world than resorting to picking on someone who from all the posts I've read seems to legitimately want answers to questions. These are sometimes even questions that experienced reefers don't know the answer to.

WaterMelon, Your xenia should be just fine. In some tanks they grow too much and people start asking how to get rid of them...

You guys are all idiots. Watermelon DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH so how about you lay off him and try to be more helpful... If you can't do that then maybe you should just move on.

English translation:

Does not it upset. Xenia of damaged will be good. Splits them start still on glass will grow to come to be second xenia, thus has to more babies xenia come.

Leaf stump to be improved for itself. Leave xenia touch on the glass.

I'm sorry to break all the hearts of people who stick up for this clown. But, the "mistakes" that Watermelon makes with the English language are not consistant or indicative of non-native English speaking peoples; anywhere. I don't know what amusement he gets out of his behavior, but he sure has you fooled.

Whether or not he has me "fooled", you guys are stooping to his level (if he really is just acting like a clown) by continuing to posts on his threads and giving him the intention he craves. When you see a thread of his, simply jump over it and ignore it. Don't make it a thread that can help higher your post count. All in end, don't bash the guy, if your right there with him.
