Crazy fragging idea
I have tried to frag mushrooms by cutting them in halves and quaters. Many times the mushrooms grew back together and healed. So, what if I cut a green shroom in half and also a red shroom. Mount them carefully next to each other in hopes they they grow back together and make one whole mushroom again with 2 colored halves.....Does anyone think this could be possible? Would it be cruel and unusual? Or readily accepted as the rarest coral morph you can find??

I doubt very much that it would work.

I doubt that it would work for Corallimorphs, but there is some progress being made with coral fusion and grafting with true corals. Mayne different color fusions have been made with Acanthastrea, Trachyphyllia, and even Montipora to name a few. In fact, the Montipora Addicts thread has a picture of when an orange M. digitata and a brown M. digitata grew together.
