Copper Tank
Folks,
I have an 75G AGA that had been a fish only tank for many years. The tank has had copper treatments in the past. It has been dry for 6 months. Can this tank ever be used for a reef? What cleaning techniques can be done to make it as safe as possible? Thanks, -Mineral

Do a cleaning with water and muriatic acid. Fill it, add the acid and a powerhead and let it go for a couple hours. Dump that and do the same thing with water and bleach. Then rinse really well and you should be good to go. I do not remember the quantity.

Kirsten,
Thanks for the tip. Do I need to worry about the acid compromising the silicone seals?
