Mag drive or quiet one
i need to get a circ pump with about 1100 gph i am going between the mag drive 12 or the quiet one 6000, i will need about a 4 ft head, i like the price for the quiet one but i have a mag drive 24 on my 125 and have never had any trouble out of it. i was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with either pump and is the extra money wirth the pump?
thanks paul |

The Eheim 1262 is only 900gph.
I've used both. No problems. The mag 12 is a little cheaper and uses less power than the QO6000 |

Besides an occasional rusty screw...mags are quite nice. I have a 10 year old mag 12 driving my 40 gal, and a brand new mag 12 driving my 65. Both perform perfectly, every start, giving me little to complain about mag drive pumps.
Stay away from the older rios. I have not used a hyperflow, but I do enjoy the Seios quite a bit. |
