temperature fluctuation

I have a 210 gallon tank mostly sps. 4 400 w halides and 6 6' vho's. my water temp is 76 in the morningand almost 82 in the afternoon. i am runing a 1/2 hp chiller. My acros seem to be doing fine but fish not so good. Should i run a heater as well and how much temp change is ok?

Thanks
Jeff

6 deg in 24 hrs is too much swing IMO. If the chiller can only maintain 82 during the day, I'd set the heater to 79 at night.

A six degree change is a little, and I would recommend getting a temperature controller of some sort. If the lowest temperature your chiller will pull down to is 82, then you should set the heater to keep water at about 80 overnight. 4x 400 is a lot!!! If you run an ac at home it will help your tank remain cooler too.

i meant to say a six degree chance is a little too much......I think it is too high of a change.
