High Alk
Is high Alk bad, i dont know why but mine is rediculously high
, although my ph is at a sterady 8.0 my alk is at like 4.57 how do i lower that , i tested it twice to make sure, i used salifert |

4.57 meq/L is high, but not that bad. I would just stop supplementing it and let it drop on its own. Using pH buffers often causes this problem...

I'd try measuring some freshly-mixed water, to see what's happening there. What chemicals are being added to the tank?

hey waterkeeper if you dont mind i have a question? In your opinoin since my calicium is at 400 ppm coudl i jsut add some calicium and let both of them drop??
