Need DYI plans for a 10g sump for 55g tank. (have no true clue how)
I want to create a small sump (10 gallons) for my 55 gallon tank. This sump will go under the tank like most people do. The reason I want to get a sump is to free up some room in the tank. Seeing a powerhead hanging from a Remora skimmer is not that nice looking, as well as the intake of a powerfilter. So I want to create a sump so that these can be at the bottom of the tank (invisible to people).
*The main reason I had not done this before was that I was afraid of overflowing the sump and having a house floor disaster. How can I avoid from this happening. Do you all have a SIMPLE plan to share? Please tell me the materials needed. Which cost-effective (won't put a whole in my pocket) pump? Got the 10 gallon tank PVC piping (what diamter)? I appreciate all suggestions that fit to what I am moreless asking for. Visual plans would be awesome!!! THANKS!!!
