Quietest skimmer?

I bought the ASM G3 and have been running it for about 3 weeks. It's loud. Like across the house loud. I've cleaned it, moved it around and ended up making a muffler to cut down the noise but the gurgling coming out of the air hose for the venturi is still audible from anywhere in the house (it was audilbe from upstairs before the muffler). I asked for suggestions from ASMSkimmer.com and the ASM club thread on here, but if they don't come back with anything can people suggest a quiet skimmer. My setup is in my dining room and I've gone out of my way to get equipment that would be quiet. The skimmer drowns out everything else.

Suggestions?

I use the Coralife Super Skimmer. It's awesome. It's not SILENT, but it makes about the same amount of noise as my return pump, which isn't very much. You could try putting your skimmer in your sump to help deaden the noise.

I have an ASM G2 and don't really notice any noise. Of course the room it's in is seldom quiet, but really all I ever hear is the return pump, which isn't too bad.

run the air line out side. i have a g6 and its silent now that the air line is out side
