Refugium question
Is it better to drain raw water from the display into the refugium then skim the water draining from the refuge or is it better to feed the refuge from the display return pump or other seperate pump and skim just the raw water from the display?

Many suggest skimming the water before the fuge. I have mine split where half of the water goes into the skimmer and the rest goes in the sump then mixed with the skimmed water and then pumped into the fuge and main tank.
