Modifying a SP3000 doser?
I recently bought an SP3000 doser because as unbelievable as it is my aqualifter couldn't pump 4 feet in height (I know can you believe it?... for those of you who think I am being serious... well... shame on you!). Annnyyyyyyyway I want to attach a float switch as I did the Aqualifter I used without problem (blowing it up, not functionality-wise). Since this purchase is about 10 times the aqualifter I want to be extra safe considering I am going to void any warranty.
My question is how necessary will a relay be? And where could I find nfo about using one on my SP3000? Thank you! |

I had the aquamedic, returned it for the nautilis 2 instead. The sp3000 made a clicking sound every sec when the motor moved and you can't adjust the drip rate. I would recommend switching to the nautilis... you'll like it sooooo much more.
![]() oh yeh, to answer your question, you have to put a float switch or a timer on the sp3000 otherwise it will add more water than you evaporate. |

well I don't mind it not dripping.. but what I am worried about is... well smoking it. I plan on using a float switch directly (w/o a relay). I currently have a similar set up with an aqualifter, but unfortunately the aqualifter just doesn't have lasting umph to stay alive.
