red and purple firefish
will they fight in a 55 gal reef with LOTs of hiding spots (over 80 lbs of LR)?

There is a chance you could get away with it, but there is a chance they wont leave each other alone. I wouldnt even try it. If they do fight there is a chance one could get stressed and then boom ICH and no one wants thats. If everything is running smooth I wouldnt want you to have problems.

Who would be more aggressive? The purple or the red. The red's been in the tank for a few weeks now and has a home on a hole under a rock.

Good luck getting it out without removing all of the rock. When they're spooked, I couldn't even see mine dart end-to-end or top-to-bottom. I haven't seen anything move that fast in a long time.
Besides, it's be a pain in the butt to rip everything apart with all the fish (seven) you have in there right now. Personally, I think you are better off just leaving things the way they are. |
